The international doctoral consortium was launched in association with the World Conference on IC for Communities. The first Consortium event was held on 21 May 2008 (download the programme and presentations).
Since then, international doctoral consortium events have been held on the day preceding the World Conference on IC for Communities.

The consortium goals:

to initiate a process dedicated to research on intellectual capital at the international level

to encourage and promote dialogue between doctoral students working on intellectual capital issues

to attract new researchers to this emerging strand of research

to promote cross-fertilisation of ideas between researchers

to ensure that the research agenda aligns with the agendas of public-sector and private-sector organisations
